Dr. Bilecik graduated from Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine in 2007. Between 2007-2012, he specialized in General Surgery at Antalya Training and Research Hospital. He worked as a General Surgeon / Chief Physician at Sinop Atatürk State Hospital between 2013-2015.

Between 2016 and 2018, he worked specifically on bariatric surgery and robotic surgery at Adana Numune Training and Research Hospital. He worked as a assistant professor at Department of General Surgery, Medical School, Istinye University, between 2018-2020. He became an Associate Professor of Surgery in 2020 at Istinye University Medical School.

Specifically, he has over 40 scientific articles published in international and national journals and nearly 100 papers presented in international and national congresses. For many years, I have worked extensively with international health tourism patients in the field of bariatric surgery, prioritizing patient safety and maintaining a patient-centered approach in every aspect of care.

He is an active member of Turkish Surgery Association (TCD), Turkish Obesity Surgery Society(TOSS), European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES), International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO).
Tuna Bilecik, MD, has been an SRC-accredited Master Surgeon in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery since 2024.
